“Walk for Life West Coast” this year starts at a different time and takes a different route. Mass Jan. 21 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Gough Street at Geary Boulevard is at 9:30 a.m. The rally preceding the walk begins at 12:30 p.m. at San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza across from City Hall. Guest speakers include former abortionist, Dr. Vansen Wong and “Silent No More” representative, Jacquie Stainaker. An “Info Faire” at Civic Center Plaza begins at 11 a.m. “The Interfaith Committee for Life Prayer Service” is Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral. 3rd Annual Youth and Young Adult Rally for Life
Special guest Christopher Stefanick will give a 2 hour mini mission. Live music, Reconciliation Service, Adoration, and Mass. Emcee: Jon Rinaldo, Youth and Young Adult Minister from the Diocese of San Jose. Pre-registration requested. Free before 1/14/11 - $10 after. Raffle, Taco Bar and Snack Bar.

Interfaith Committee for Life Prayer Service
The 24th Annual Interfaith Service for Life, sponsored by the San Francisco Archdiocesan Interfaith Committee for Life, takes place the evening before the Walk for Life West Coast at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, Geary & Gough Streets, San Francisco.  If you've never attended, please come this year to participate in prayerful readings, reflections, music and the beautiful Procession of Roses.  This year's speakers include Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life and David Beriet of 40-Days for Life.  A reception follows. Location: St. Mary's Cathedral, San Francisco    MapStMary'sCathedral

Unborn Jesus Holy Hour
Come join us as we pray the stations of the Incarnation. We will offer the Holy Hour in honor to the Unborn Child Jesus for the end of abortion. We will also pray for the pro-life cause.
The Unborn Jesus Holy Hour has been organized at Saints Peter and Paul since the first Walk for Life. Every year we place the Walk for Life into the Hands of the Unborn Child Jesus and his Mother with the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe. For more information send email.

Archdiocesan Respect Life Conference & Public Policy Breakfast in St. Francis Hall at St. Mary’s Cathedral Event Center, Gough Street and Geary Boulevard in San Francisco. Msgr. James Tarantino, vicar for administration for the Archdiocese of San Francisco will lead an opening prayer. Attorney and national voice Wesley J. Smith is the keynote speaker offering thoughts on “What’s New in the World of Euthanasia?” Canonist, nurse and scholar Marie Hilliard of the National Catholic Bioethics Center speaks “Today’s End of Life Issues: Choices and Dangers.” Attorney Dana Cody and Vicki Evans, respect life coordinator for ADSF will facilitate a workshop addressing “Are All Medical Directives Created Equal?” Cost is $40 per person and includes breakfast.
