Resurrection Church in Sunnyvale, Ca, is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, about 25 miles South from San Francisco International Airport, and about 8 milesWest from San Jose International Airport. It is about an hour's drive from San Francisco, and is accessible from Freeway 101 and Freeway 280, both of which connect to the Stevens Creek Freeway, Highway 85. If needed, transportation can be arranged for those arriving at either airport. Usually, arrangements are made for group rates at a local area hotel or motel. This information will be given out later. Some meals will be provided by the Parish.
The climate in late October is often quite pleasant, averaging around 70 F. during the day, and 45 F. at night. Please bring a hat for the day, and a warm jacket for nights. There can be a slight chance of rain, as Sunnyvale will average about an inch of rainfall, most often at the end of November.
The demographics from the last census show a population of about 65% white, 25% Asian, 5% Hispanic. The homes and businesses are mostly suburban, with quiet streets and neighborhoods.
The town of Santa Cruz is located on the Pacific Ocean, about an hour's drive from Sunnyvale. At Santa Cruz, one may enjoy the boardwalk amusement park, or take the scenic tour North, driving along the Pacific shore, to Big Basin State Park, with its giant Redwoods.
