Frank Duff Section

These videos represent a selection from a series of eight video interviews given by the founder of the Legion of Mary the Servant of God Frank Duff in Dublin in August of 1979, a little more than a year before his holy death on November 7, 1980.  The interviews were produced, conducted and recorded by a team of council officers from the USA -- Msgr. Charles T. Moss, Bill Peffley, Walt Brown, Al Norrell of the Philadelphia Senatus and Beatrice Flannigan of the Hartford Comitium and were part of a television project on the Legion of Mary lasting two weeks which also included fourteen talks by Frank Duff on subjects such as “True Devotion”, “The Holy Spirit and Mary” and “Our Lady and St. Paul”, as well as a number of interviews with Concilium officers and other experienced Irish legionaries.  The entire project was produced by the Philadelphia Senatus in cooperation with the councils of the USA and with the assistance and cooperation of Concilium.

The interviews given by Frank Duff are a precious record which reveal the mind and spirit of the founder of the Legion of Mary capturing his astonishing memory of the beginnings of the Legion as well as the Legion’s amazing growth, and his thoughts regarding the future of the Legion of Mary.

The complete text of the Frank Duff interviews was published in “Frank Duff – A Living Autobiography” edited by Msgr. Moss and distributed in 1983 by Maria Legionis (Dublin, Philadelphia and Manila).
