Senatus Congress 2026

The San Francisco Senatus Congress was held on May 16, 2026 at Mater Dolorosa Church in South San Francisco. It began with the Traditional Latin Mass celebrated by Rev. Father Mikhael Mihic, COSJ followed by light breakfast and the Legion of Mary Opening Prayers and Rosary. The presentations promptly started after a Welcome Talk by Bro. Ando Perlas, president of the San Francisco Senatus.

The Congress aims to clarify and elucidate importanct concepts within the Legion's apostolic and missionary purpose. Its goal is to ensure that every Praesidium within the Legion becomes an effective arm on the Catholic Church's mission in the salvation of souls. Through shared learniing and discussion, we strengthen our impact and resolve towards this end.

This year's Congress was attended by more than 150 Legion active members. The overall theme of the Congress focussed on the four (4) general systems of the Legion of Mary - the Devotional System, the System of Government, the Knowledge and Learning System and its Apostolic System. The Congress offered unparalleled opportunities for knowledge and further understanding of some of the key rules and regulations of the Legion. The discussions were robust, honest and presented a wider scope of the Legion's invaluable contribtion as an evangelizing arm of the Catholic Church.

It was another memorable and learning experience for all who attended. The San Francisco Senatus wishes to express its appreciation to all those who made this day successful.
